The Royal BVI Yacht Club was established in 1973, the product of sailing enthusiasts who wanted a place where sailors could meet, swap stories, enjoy themselves and most importantly sail!

We are delighted to enjoy reciprocal relationships with numerous yacht clubs around the world. Our members enjoy access to these clubs and we similarly welcome members from them when they visit the BVI. Visiting sailors to the BVI also enjoy temporary memborship of the RBVIYC for a limited period during their time in the BVI.

We are also the National Authority for sailing in the BVI. This means we oversee the development of sailing in the islands and sailing activities in general. As National Authority we also issue sail numbers for boats and yachts registered in the BVI. Please contact us should you wish to obtain and register a BVI sail number.
