The Royal BVI Yacht Club is a not-for-profit organisation. Our Committees are staffed by volunteers, and all race organisation is performed by volunteers as well. We are therefore dependent on members, volunteers and donations from generous sponsors and individuals.
All funds received are directed right back into the Clubs Programmes. In particular our youth training and development programme requires ongoing financial support towards:
Maintaining our fleet of Optimists, ILCAs and RS Fevas
Maintaining and operating our coach boats
Supporting our full time instructors
Organizing regattas and helping kids to travel and enter overseas regattas
Members enjoy numerous benefits, including substantial discounts for sailing events and with many BVI businesses. We also enjoy considerable international membership, with reciprocal arrangements for many prestigious yacht clubs around the world.
Volunteers are always welcome at the RBVIYC. We need volunteers to help out with adult and youth sailing, as well as social events associated with our sailing events. We are able to sign off on activities as part of community service requirements towards local school credits.
We can not thank enough all those who give their time and energy, we can't do it without you! The Royal BVI Yacht Club is a registered not-for-profit organization.
If you would like to help us get more BVI young people out on the water click on the 'Donate Now' button below or if you prefer, get in touch directly with the office.
Thank you to all the private individuals and the following clubs and companies for your support.
Sailors for Hope was set up to unite the sailing community in support of communities affected by natural disasters in marine environments. They are supporting various projects in the BVI, USVI and Puerto Rico, including our youth sailing programme.
